Veneers are thin tooth coloured custom-made shells of teeth cemented to the outside of a tooth. They are made from porcelain or composite.
The preparation of the tooth is minimal and maintained within enamel.
Veneers are used to improve the cosmetics of a smile, where the tooth is mildly malpositioned, has internal staining or partially broken down. They can potentially close gaps too.
Other cosmetic treatments:
- White fillings (see prev section)
- Tooth coloured crowns, inlays & onlays and bridges (see prev section)
- Hygiene/stain removal
