Anti-Wrinkle Treatments

For smoothing fine lines & wrinkles

Wrinkles and fine lines are amongst the most common concerns for patients. Many people
prefer to look refreshed and maintain a subtle but youthful appearance without looking
‘overdone’.

Our most popular anti-wrinkle treatment is an anti-wrinkle injection. The treatment itself
only takes around 10 minutes, and the anti-wrinkle injections can last anywhere between 3
to 6 months

Botulinum neurotoxin (BoNT) is produced by the bacterium clostridium botulinum. It works by blocking nerve impulses which means muscles responsible for the excessive contractions that cause the wrinkles can relax.

Non-Surgical Brow Lift

For lifting and elevating the brows.

As we age, gravity tends to win and due to the natural ageing process, the tissues in our skin
become less supported, allowing the skin to droop and sag. We usually see this in areas such as the jowl and nose-to-mouth lines, however, it is no different when it comes to the eyes and the tissue that surrounds them. That’s why we offer effective brow lift treatments.

A brow lift is a type of procedure that allows your brows to lift and elevate.

The most common brow lifting treatment in non-surgical aesthetics involves injections into the target muscles, allowing it to temporarily relax. This can help to soften facial expressions and improve the signs of ageing. This treatment allows certain muscles to become less active which in turn encourages others to become more active, which allows the brows to lift. This in turn can open the eye area and lift the surrounding skin, offering an anti-ageing
effect.

How long until I see the benefits of the Brow Lift?

The product usually takes two to three days to start working, but it can take up to two weeks to see the results. The benefits can last up to four months depending on the strength of your muscles and your individual response to the product.

Are there any side effects?

Like all treatments, there may be some side effects. However, reactions are generally minimal and temporary. You may have some bruising or bleeding where the needle has been placed and this will typically subside within a few days.

Very rarely, anti-wrinkle injections may result in muscle weakness. Other possible side effects – however improbable – can be found within the patient information leaflet which is available at the practice.

Before your treatment, we will remove any makeup and cleanse the area. The product is placed into the muscle with a fine needle. You may find that there can be some slight discomfort as the needle enters the skin, but the procedure is very quick, and most patients find it painless. For the more sensitive patient, we can use a topical anesthetic cream.

The treatment itself will take 15 minutes and you can return to your usual activities thereafter. We do advise, however, that you avoid the following activities for at least two weeks following the treatment:

  • Beauty treatments, such as facials, facial massages, and face masks.
  • Heated environments such as saunas, steam rooms, and sunbathing.

You will be invited to attend a review appointment three weeks after the treatment, for any adjustments that may be necessary to achieve your desired result.

Treatment for Excessive Gingival Display

More commonly known as “gummy smile” treatment

No exact definition exists for a gummy smile. It’s about your own perception, and whether you feel that your smile reveals more of your gums than you would like.

Generally speaking, 3 to 4 millimeters of exposed gumline is considered to be disproportionate, resulting in a “gummy smile”. Interestingly, the condition is more common in women than in men. In some cases, the muscles that control the movement of your upper lip could be hyperactive, causing your upper lip to rise up higher than normal.

excessive gingival display

During your consultation, we will be able to discuss the possible causes and the best way to proceed with your treatment.

What does the treatment involve?

Whatever the cause, we offer a quick and easy treatment for ‘gummy smiles’ that has produced amazing results with just a few minor injections into the affected area.

What can I expect on the day?

Before the treatment, any makeup will be removed, and the area will be cleansed. The product is placed into the muscle with a fine needle. You shouldn’t experience any discomfort. The treatment itself will take 15 minutes and you can return to your usual activities afterward.

How long until I can see the benefits?

The treatment usually takes two to three days to start working. The results can last up to four months, depending on the strength of your muscles and your individual response to the product.

The product injected can cause side effects but any reactions are generally minimal and temporary. You may find that there can be some slight discomfort as the needle enters the skin and you may have some bruising or bleeding where the needle has been placed.

There may be other possible but rare side effects, which can be found within the patient information leaflet we will provide you with following your treatment.

  • Beauty treatments, such as facials, facial massages, and face masks.
  • Heated environments such as saunas, steam rooms, and sunbathing.

Lip Augmentation

Lip Augmentation

Ideal for those who want to add long-lasting volume and definition to their lip.

In recent years, there has been a significant rise in the popularity of lip filler treatments for both men and women. We offer dermal lip fillers using various techniques.

As medically trained professionals, we use a holistic approach by assessing your whole face, taking into account your desired look, and creating a bespoke treatment plan to ensure the most natural-looking results.

What is dermal filler?

Dermal filler is made from a natural product called Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar that exists in almost all living organisms, including us. Its key role is to absorb water and transport nutrients to the skin, ensuring that the structure and volume is maintained.

What dermal filler products do we use?

We use the Pluryal® Lidocaine Dermal Filler range. The addition of lidocaine ensures minimal discomfort during procedures. **

Pluryal® are a European based family-owned business that has been researching and developing scientifically-approved medical aesthetic products since 1999.

You can find more information via: http://pluryal.com/

What can I expect on the day of treatment?

On arrival to your appointment, any makeup will be removed and the area will be sanitised. We will apply a topical anaesthetic on to the injection sites, to ensure the treatment is as pain-free as possible.

Lip Augmentation Session

What can I expect on the day of treatment?

The product is administered with the use of a fine needle, which helps to keep swelling and bruising to a minimum. A little discomfort is not uncommon. However, if you feel particularly sensitive, we are able to administer a local anesthetic although in most cases this is not necessary.

The appointment is booked in for around 30 minutes. This allows time for cleansing of the skin, numbing and the treatment itself.

How soon after treatment can I expect to see results?

The beauty of dermal fillers is that the results take effect immediately (although it’s worth noting you may experience mild swelling initially).

Furthermore, due to the type of dermal filler that we use, your own natural collagen production is accelerated and stimulated, continuing to carefully heal the skin and boost the production of new cell layers.

We perform all aesthetic treatments via a two-step process: i) placement of the produce and ii) follow-up review. You will be invited to attend a review appointment three weeks post-procedure. During this appointment, any adjustments will be made to achieve your desired result.

The effects are long-lasting, non-permanent and reversible. Traditionally, most patients will need to top-up the filler every 6-12 months.

What are the risks and side-effects of dermal fillers?

Most reactions to dermal filler treatments post-procedure are generally minimal and temporary. You should expect a degree of mild swelling, and slight bruising is a possibility. However, these reactions should subside within a week.

Aftercare Lip Augmentation

What do I need to do after my treatment?

After treatment, we advise you to avoid touching or rubbing the area to ensure placement of the product is not manipulated, for up to two weeks. We also recommend you avoid the following for two weeks:

  • Beauty treatments, such as facials, facial massages, and face masks.
  • Heated environments such as saunas, steam rooms, and sunbathing.

Full, written, aftercare instructions will be provided to you following your treatment.

Treating Hyperhidrosis

Excessive Sweating

Excessive sweating is more common than you think, it can affect the whole body or just certain areas, such as the armpits, palm of the hands etc.

Increased sweating is a normal response to a rise in body temperature, and to emotions such as anxiety. Excessive sweating can happen for no obvious reason but can also happen because of another medical condition that you may have or as a side effect of the
medication that you are taking.

Treating Hyperhidrosis

Sometimes it gets better with age but there are things that you can do both at home and clinically, to limit the amount of sweat that you produce and the effects that it has. We offer an effective & scientifically proven treatment for the reduction of excessive sweating for those who have tried everything else, so you don’t have to suffer any longer.

The Treatment

Treating hyperhidrosis clinically, is a quick procedure. It involves relaxing the sweat glands with an injectable product (known as botulinum toxin). Over the course of the couple of weeks following the treatment, the effects will begin to take place and you will notice that the excess sweating has either stopped or dramatically reduced. The procedure usually takes no longer than 10 minutes and the effects will last anywhere between 3-6 months.
